Day 2: we all just crashed. Jeff and Jennie caught a cold on the way here and were sick for the first few days. After day 2, we did a few things to slowly break-in to life in Chile. We went to the park. Rode the subway to the mall and rode a bus. Jeff and I looked at a couple other apartments that could be more permanent. We found one that was a great price and had all the things we wanted. We should have it rented by the 7th. Then we will move in and set up house. Jeff met with a couple of people for work and figured out some logistics.
The kids have watched a lot of Disney channel this week. We can switch the TV so the shows are in English but the adds are still in Spanish. So the toy ads are on TV right now for Christmas and these chileans have some fun baby dolls that do amazing things. For example, the little boy doll with a penis that pees in your face when you take his diaper off. And the little doll that poos in its diaper so you can change it. So ...Josh and Nate are watching TV and they show this brown stuff coming out of the pooing baby and Josh says 'I tink I know who tole the Tubby Tustard!' We haven't stopped laughing! If any of you have had to suffer through your kids watching tele-tubbies you will get the joke.
The weather is beautiful. It is about 80 degrees during the day and 50 at night. I love the weather but I’m having a hard time feeling like it is Christmas time. Once we get into our other apartment we will have to decorate or something to help create the mood.
